New beginnings..

Every summer I go backpacking in the mountings.
Last summer I went with my sister and her family, my brother and my mother. On this photo you can see my nephew who was at that time 4 years old.
When this photo was taken we where almost back at our starting point again. We had been waking for almost 10 km up on a mounting and then down again. And he walked all the way!
Of course there was more rest stops than when we are only adults and it took all day but still, amazing!

Mixed Media Place have this month on their creative gym, a theme called "new beginnings" and that made me think of this photo. Even though its at the end of our long walk It makes me think of the beginning.
When you start your walk up the mounting you are just full of energy and cant wait to get to the top. After about an hour you start wondering whether or not you where a little bit crazy when decided to walk up. After two hour your not wondering you are sure..
But then! The forest disappears and suddenly you can see for miles and miles. The air is fresher and the water is delicious. The rest of the walk is absolutely wonderful and getting to the top is one of the best feelings in the world. Walking down hills goes a lot faster and by the end your sad it went by so fast but you feel incredibly proud of your self :)

Sometimes we also tent up on the mountings and those mornings are magical.




I used alot of copper dust and copper color on this layout to make it feel more magical :)
