Art journaling

This past week I have been taking my pocket art journal with me where ever I have gone. It is so nice to be able to sit down and create something. Even if it is only ten minutes during a coffee break :)

As I have sad before I usually create in the journal based on a word and from now on I think I will incorporate the word in the page as seen in these three. I almost only use aquarell pencils and black and white pens but try to ad a little mixed media as well. The top one has blue glimmer mist for background, the "lonely" one has a lot of color bloom both for the space and the hair and the bottom one actually has chipboard that I "peeled" to make them thinner (the stars).

Glitter glitter glitter!

Here is an art journal page I totally forgot to put on the blog. I made this last weekend for MixedMedia Place Creative Gym. It was all about:

'Proverbs & Sayings' 

I choose the saying "When in doubt, just add glitter". I always have that in made when I'm making something :D If something doesn't seem quite right or looks good to me I try putting on some glitter an bling. And most times It really works!

I used a LOT of glitter on this page. Everything glitter and shines even the white has white shimmer on it. It was hard to photograph. The camera had a hard time focusing :) But I think you get the idea.

Art Journaling

Jag har äntligen fått min moleskine journal! Det är en journal med extra tjocka sidor så att jag kan använda olika medium såsom akryl, gesso, vattenfärger och så vidare.
Jag har länge varit inspirerad av Vicky Papaioannou och tänkt att en sån journal skulle jag vilja göra med alla olika citat och ordspråk jag har samlat på mig. Jag hade också tänkt att min art journal skulle vara ett ställe där jag kunde testa olika tekniker, medium och material.

Sen jag fick den (för drygt en vecka sen) så har jag arbetat i den nästan varje kväll, det är så kul!

Hitills har jag gjord färdigt fem stycken uppslag. Jag började min resa med att rita av min nya fina kaffe/te mugg som jag fick i födelsedagspresent.

I have finally got my Moleskine Journal! It is a journal with extra thick pages so that I can use different media such as acrylic, gesso, watercolors and so on.
I have long been inspired by Vicky Papaioannou and thought that one of those journals I would like to do with all the various quotes and sayings I have collected. I also thought that my art journal would be a place where I could test different techniques, media and materials.

Since I got it (just over a week ago), I've worked in nearly every night, it's so fun!

So far, I have made five spreads. I started my journey with drawing my new lovley coffee / tea mug that I got for my birthday.
