My little nephew

My beautiful little nephew turned one last week and I really wanted to make something about him. This photo of me and him is taken on his christening and I just love it :)

I made this layout out of Berry71Bleu's mood board this month. Is it not just stunning!

At first I had green leafs on the layout but then I painted one of them black and I just loved it. It looked so sober with the black, white and grey together with all the purple and violet.

I have used silver micro beads and purple metallic paint as accents together with white, grey and violet enamel dots.

Projects with 2crafty + a video!

It is lots of frost outside my window and here I am with a summer layout :)

This is a layout I created as a dt project for 2crafty. The puzzle pieces, the title, the rings and heart and 2016 are all chipboard from 2crafty. For this layout I used acrylic paint to color them. They take color incredible well, no gessoing first needed.
This is such a playful photo so I wanted to match that in the layout and try to use the same colors as the photo,
White splashes, gesso and string for the background and lots of color for the forground :)

Next for my dt post I made these mixed media tags. I used finnabairs metallic paint on these and the result was amazing! I really LOVE the metallic shine on the them. I choose to paint all the chipboards white to create a beautiful contrast and really make the chippies pop.
For these tags I also made a video with you can find at the end of this post.

I think I will let the detail pic speak for them self. The shine and structure are divine :)

The truck

I took one of my boys old toy truck and went wild :)

I can't tell you how much I love finnabairs rust paste! It is easy to get addictive to :)

This truck was first painted with black heavy gesso and then all the silver details was painted with copper metallic paint.The gears where treated the same way and I also painted the gears with the rust paste before I glued the on and lastly the truck got painted with rust as well. I used two yellow bling on the lamps on top. On the tiers I used a little platinum inka gold to highlight the structure.

This project is a DT project for Words&Paintery this month and I also used 13arts challenge this month as inspiration; "steampunk".

And o course I had to have A LOT of detail pics to really show it of :) I loved to make this one!!

I dream of flying!

My dream.

I dream of flying. Both in real life and when I am sleeping.  I have been bungy jumping, skydiving, been on a helicopter and love hiking in the mountings. I simply love high heights and one of my next goals is hang gliding :)

At night when you're sleeping, you can actually fly for real and those dreams are the coolest! The feeling is just amazing!

For this project I was inspired by MixedMediaPlace's creative gym challenge "Dreams":

At first I was going to do an art journal spread but when I sat down at my desk I saw this wooden doll on the shelf and thought "That one would be cool to alter!"
I had these chipboard wings from 2Crafty that just worked perfectly for this project. With a little gears and harlequin chipboards, gold color bloom and rust paste I had my dream project :)

I wanted to give the doll a reaching/flying pose.

 I have also used some beads in different sizes to get some extra structure.

I used the chipboard word "experience" at the bottom (also from 2crafty)

Perfection

My two boys :)

I love this picture of them all dressed up and holding hands. It is a photo from my sisters wedding (its only at funerals and wedding they look this dressed up :))

This is also a DT layout for 2Crafty and I wanted to make something sort of graphic and dressed up to match the photo. I used Prima Color bloom spray on all the chipboard pieces and matched it with a graphic black, white and gold paper. On the background I used a pencil to draw some lines and then added some controled spletters and bling on the cirkle (I cheated with the splatters and used a pen to get them where I wanted them :D)

I used ScrapAfricas sketch this month for inspiration.

Adventure!

I went to Paris :)
Yes I know I have mention it before in this blog but I just love saying it :D

This is one of my favorite photos from that trip. At nighttime there is a light show on the eiffel tower that is just beautiful!

This is a DT layout for 2Crafty chipboards again and it is also inspired by EnLitenButik's September challenge; red, white and blue. Quite fitting huh?

The eiffel tower chippi is one of my all time favorite chippies. It is so gorgeous! The blue leafs behind the photo, the word adventure and the 2016 are also all from 2crafty.
I used blue splatters and a dot stamp to tie the whole layout together and then decorated it with stickers and washi.

Here is another DT layout i made for 2crafty. 

I was inspired by Scrapki-wyzwaniowo August challenge; meadow flowers.

 

I didn't have any photos of meadows or meadow flowers so I decided to make layout with a meadow feeling instead. I thought of natural elements like, wood, metal and "water" (the little beads are suppose to symbolize water drops)

And then added flowers and of course some butterflies :)

All of the beautiful chipboards comes from 2crafty and here they are all natural, no paint or anything.
The flowers are Primas of course :) I can't seam to create without a little Prima flowers these days :)

The clear beads are from 13arts and the silver ones are Finnabairs micro beads.
